The University of Maine Men's Hockey team was voted 2nd in a Pre Season Poll of Hockey East Media and Broadcasters. In addition to the team placemnet, Maine's Gustav Nyquist was the only unanimous player selection to the All Hockey East Team voted on by the same group.
