Lewiston did get on the board first as Brayden Wood buried a rebound of an Etienne Brodeur breakaway. That would be the last offense the MAINEiacs saw until late in the 3rd.
The Oceanic responded quickly as less than 2 minutes later, Jarrad Struthers deflected home a shot past MAINEiacs goaltender Andrey Makarov. Makarov stopped 30 of 33 shots he faced.
MAINEiacs Defenseman Ian Saab went off for holding at 8:30 of the 1st, and the Oceanics capitalized a minute later as Charles-Antoine Roy put a shot past Makarov to give Rimouski the lead for good at 2 - 1.
The Oceanics got the only goal fo the 2nd as Pierre-Alexandre Ouellet put one past Makarov for a Rimouski 3-1 lead.
Things got real interesting with 2 and a half minutes left in the game as Etienne Brodeur buried a shot past the Oceanic goalie Trembley. That was the last the MAINEiacs could muster as the horn sounded on the Rimouski 3-2 win over the MAINEiacs.
