Maine High School Hockey Invitational under way.

Scarborough gets first win of the day at PIA
DEERING VS NEWINGTON/BERLIN GALLERY BELOW

Scarborough Red Storm's Hunter Lynch scored the game winner just 1:32 into the 3rd period to help Scarborough to a 4 - 3 win over Newington/Berlin, CT Tuesday Morning at the Portland Ice Arena.

The win was not an easy one for Scarborough, as the Storm's Nick Bagley (head contact) and Conner Gullifer (cross check) were off the ice with penalties, with just 2:30 left to go. The Storm called time out to stradegize the 5 on 3 disadvantage. Whatever Coach Gagne said worked as the defense stood strong in front of goalie Doug Pitts, and the Red Storm escaped with a 4-3 victory.

Scarborough's RW Mark Pearson had a goal and an assist in the win.

I remember taking this one and thinking how good it was going to be, and I guess it came out pretty good.
