Scarborough gets first win of the day at PIA

Scarborough Red Storm's Hunter Lynch scored the game winner just 1:32 into the 3rd period to help Scarborough to a 4 - 3 win over Newington/Berlin, CT Tuesday Morning at the Portland Ice Arena.

The win was not an easy one for Scarborough, as the Storm's Nick Bagley (head contact) and Conner Gullifer (cross check) were off the ice with penalties, with just 2:30 left to go. The Storm called time out to stradegize the 5 on 3 disadvantage. Whatever Coach Gagne said worked as the defense stood strong in front of goalie Doug Pitts, and the Red Storm escaped with a 4-3 victory.

Scarborough's RW Mark Pearson had a goal and an assist in the win.

Maine High School Hockey Invitational cancels Monday's games

The Maine HSHI has cancelled all Monday games. Check back as we updates schedules ASAP. Paul Evans told PTP that the schedule for the rest of the week was being worked on and will be released possibly tonight.
