Luke Adam, who got off to a torrid start to the season, was named the Reebok/AHL Rookie of the Month.
Adam tallied six goals, seven assists and a plus-6 rating in 9 games with the Pirates, who are currently in first place of the Atlantic Division. He has been recalled to Buffalo twice, the first time being on October 26th against Philadelphia, and again over the weekend against Dallas.
He made his pro debut with the Pirates during the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs and will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Pirates home game.
