MAINEiacs lose to Val-d'Or 4-1 #MAINEiacsHockey #qmjhl

One of the highlights heading into Saturday night's game was the battle of the brothers. The MAINEiacs' Sam Henley and the Foreurs' Cedrick Henley grew up in Val-d'Or and are facing each other for the third and fourth times in their home town. On Saturday, Cedrick stole the show from his younger brother, scoring a pair of goals, while adding an assist and a fight, as the Foreurs picked up a 4-1 win on home ice.

The first period was the difference in the hockey game, as Lewiston's Michael Chaput received a double-minor for high sticking at the 7:29 mark of the opening stanza. Val-d'Or scored during both halves of the penalty, with Marc-Alain Begin opening the scoring at 9:11, and Cedrick Henley following with a goal 29 seconds later. Before the period came to an end, the Foreurs added to their lead, as Olivier Archambault slipped one past MAINEiacs' netminder Andrey Makarov. The goal came with 30 seconds left, and also gave Begin a three-point period.

Early in the second period, the MAINEiacs got one back. Antoine Houde-Caron netted a shorthanded goal from Sam Carrier and Pierre-Olivier Morin, bringing the visitors back to within two. The shorthanded goal
